Prom 2027
The Night
One evening a year to dress up, celebrate the end of the school year, and mark a real high-school milestone — right here at home.
Bluestem Formals’ first-ever prom brings together homeschooled high schoolers from across the Kearney area for a night of music, dancing, and new friendships — with a DJ keeping the floor moving all evening. No long drive across the state for a homeschool prom: this one belongs to Kearney.
Tickets
First come, first served — in this order. Sale dates will be announced.
Bluestem members first
Tickets open first to Bluestem Education Guild families.
Then all Kearney-area homeschoolers
Sales open to every homeschooled high schooler in the Kearney area, first come, first served.
Bring a guest
Each homeschooled high schooler may invite one non-homeschooled guest of high-school age (or in their first year of college).
Why a Prom?
Closer to home
Homeschool proms exist across the state — but until now, not one in Kearney. Our students shouldn’t have to travel hours for this night.
One community
A chance for students from every Kearney-area co-op and homeschool family to meet, make friends, and celebrate together.
A milestone, together
Dressing up, dancing, and marking the end of the school year with friends new and old — memories worth keeping.
Built by students
Our teens help plan and fundraise for the night itself — and what’s raised beyond the event supports the co-op.
The first of many
Those who come this year won’t just attend a prom — they’ll help start a tradition the Kearney homeschool community can look forward to for years. Still ahead:
